Weekly Roundup

hello again fam! as you may have noticed, i decided to embark on a bit of a hiatus for the past few weeks while i was enjoying a little time off from work, and suffering from a debilitating bout of writers block. but after spending hours staring at a blinking cursor, i am back with a vengeance to share all of my unsolicited opinions.

i'm in an uncharacteristically good mood this week, the extra minutes of daily light we have recently been gifted has a euphoric effect on me. with this years final snowstorm in our rear view (and i'm making that a definitive statement in an effort to will mother nature into making it so), i am now looking into our future of summer fridays and tangy rooftop cocktails. since we have been estranged the past few weeks, i decided we should reacquaint ourselves so here are a few of the items for which i've recently had affection

wearing:
i'm a bit of a makeup novice. i pretty much have two looks, weekday and evening. but if you're familiar with my blog, you're aware of my deep obsession with glossier, a few weeks ago they launched their latest product, eyeshadow and i immediately had to purchase. i selected lily and slip, which are both subtle, shimmery, feminine shades and couldn't love them more.

watching:
is anyone surprised she wouldn't pass takeout off as her cooking? why would she?

eating:
i grab sweetgreen for dinner a minimum of three times a week. and since i'm so familiar with the establishment, i've grown complacent with my order. but  thankfully they introduced a new salad which has quickly become a personal fan favorite. a variation of the famed la scala chopped salad, with a sweetgreen twist, it's the perfect, fresh way to end your day.

listening to:
i'm a podcast junky but lately have neglected my favorites in lue of my audio books. but no longer, thanks to everyone's favorite lifestyle guru gwyneth. in true paltrow form, the debut came on international women's day with the guest of all guests, oprah! since it's debut they've also tackled hormones and weight loss, as well as postpartum anxiety. let a new obsession commence

obsessed with
aside from roar, i'd be hard pressed to name another note worthy contribution katy perry has made to our society. but it appears she is now actively trying to make the world worse. for the past few years the pop singer has been embroiled in a legal battle with the sisters of the holy and immaculate heart of the blessed virgin mary. yep perry is actually fighting with nuns. i've been fascinated by the case for months, until it took a tragic turn a few weeks ago when one of the sisters dropped dead in the courtroom begging orlando bloom's girlfriend to leave their home alone. watch the nuns side of the story for the full scoop
