the first day of the rest of your blog

no, your eyes are not deceiving you, your favorite "blogger" and lifestyle expert has re entered your life once again via the world wide web. i know you all have been aimlessly wondering around for the past year and a half without all of my cynical quips and opinionated judgements to guide you. but fear no more, i am back to save you from this cruel universe and impart all of my wisdom onto you.

i can only hope all seven of you reading this can hear the deep sarcasm infused in all of the words above, but the main sentiment remains, i am back once again and i couldn't be more thrilled. six years ago, fresh off the green from my college campus graduation, i decided to embark on the realitvely new world of blogging, and i loved every second of it. but as time progressed, the novelty wore off and i grew frustrated with what this space became. i felt like i was always struggling to keep up with the pioneers and every word i typed felt disingenuous. after all, what the hell did i know about anything? but the what i have come to realize, during my hiatus, is that it doesn't really matter. i am so grateful to have a space to share all of my opinions, this is my own tiny corner of the internet and it doesn't have to resemble anyone else's. i'm still not entirely sure what that will necessarily look like, but the discovery is half the journey.

september has always feels like a fresh start to me, "bouquets of sharpened pencils" and all of that nostalgia, so i could think of no better time to get reacquainted, or perhaps introduced for the very first time, so in the wonderful style of a kate schelter questionare, here's a brief glimpse into my cranium
