I'm Thankful For...

i don't know about you, but this is one of my favorite weeks of the year. the anticipation of dollops of sweet potato casserole are just a hectic penn station scuffle away. since i'm already mentally on my acela home, listening to taylor swifts reputation on repeat (sidenote: has there ever been a better song than new year's day?) i thought i'd share some of my most recent purchases for which i am thankful.

artemis loafers: as carrie bradshaw once said "you know i don't play favorites with my shoes, but...". perhaps it's because flat-woven loafers, made from genuine turkish carpets, feel so quintessentially autumnal with there warm reds, yellows, and olive green color pallets, but i cannot seem to take these off. i pair them with everything from this navy cable mock turtleneck, to oversized button downs.

lingua franca sweater : i've been lusting after these beautifully blunt cashemere sweaters ever since their activism was elevated during that dark and aimless period after last years election. however, i struggled with which message most personally resonated with me (for those who prefer to keep their political opinions to themselves, they also have a wonderful selection of cheeky phrases from beyoncé lyrics to "domestic goddess"). i finally landed on a pale pink sweater with the word "imagine" embroidered in a kelly green and absolutely love it so much I'm considering adding another to my christmas list.

j.crew hadley boots: new york takes a toll on my footwear. on an average day, i crush 10,000 steps without even noticing, so finding comfortable, quality shoes are key. since so many of my favorite pieces began to get worn out toward the end of last season, i dedicated the majority of my fall splurges on replenishing my kicks. These are great; reasonably priced, extremely versitile, and relatively comfortable.

wishing you all bellies full of cranberry sauce and laughs!
