Rub-a-dub-dub

my bathroom is my second favorite room in my apartment, mainly because technically only have tworooms total. but nevertheless, i love the feeling i get every time i enter the roo
m. like with every other item in my abode, i went to exhaustive lengths to research and find exactly the items i wanted to make the space feel just how i imagined. the tiny, personal details, like my the monogrammed sterling silver cigarette holder passed down from my grandmother, or my favorite candle, makes it just feels like me

much like the rest of my apartment, i opted for a classic powder blue and white color scheme.

when it comes to skincare, it's like dating, i've had to swipe left on a lot of losers to find the formula that's just right for me. in hopes that i might be able to spare you the fate of countless "blind dates", here are my go-to skincare necessities.

cleanser: initally, i fell for the prettiest name and packaging and just like your first love, it ended up costing way too much. so after several years as a loyal la mer consumer, i hit the market again in search for a better fit. that's when i found the boy i thought no one could measure up to. clarins one step gentle exfoliating cleanser is incredible. it's mild yet purifying and smells incredible. but just as the old adage says when you're not looking, you find your soulmate. glossier enclosed a sample of their milky gel cleanser in another package and the minute i tried it i hooked.

moisturizer: as i've mentioned before, i'm a complete glossier addict. i'm obsessed with their moisturizer because it's hydrating but doesn't make me feel oily.

face tonic: i got this recommendation from another blogger and have to admit it may be my favorite of all my products. i gentle pat a quarter size amount on after my moisturizer. it's soothing, hydrating and smells incredible. it genuinely feels like a spa treatment and leaves you with the prettiest, subtle, glow.

serum: i try to stay away from powders as much as i can so my skin can breathe and retains a glow so in lue of bronzer this clarins radiance golden glow booster. you mix about four drop into your moisturizer and apply normally. it gives the most natural, sun kissed tint. just be sure to wash your hands thoroughly afterward to avoid dying your hands.

correctors: no matter how diligent one is their skincare, the inevitable pimple, or full fledged breakout will arise. for spot treatment, you will not find a better, or more effective product than clinique acne solutions spot corrector. put this clear gel directly on a blemish and i promise you will see a dramatic difference in the morning! i've never felt more compelled to recommend a product than this one. A and when the issues are a little bigger than one or two spots, the herbivore lapis facial oil is great. it soothes inflammation and helps correct any pH balances of the skin.

lips: glossier mint balm dotcom is the best lip treatment you'll ever use. trust.

honorable mentions: there are a few other products that i swear by that i also felt compelled to share
